Welcome to Woodcrest
WHY WOODCREST SCHOOL
Woodcrest School is a strong believer in partnerships between parents, students and faculty. Woodcrest takes a traditional approach to teaching a liberal arts curriculum while incorporating 21st century skills, technology integration, social and emotional learning, and social action. Woodcrest challenges students to achieve their maximum potential. The school hosts a gifted program starting in the 2nd grade for students who are capable of independent learning and advanced curriculum.
Caring and highly skilled teachers are the heart of Woodcrest School. Our teachers provide students with a learning environment that meets the needs of each and every student by working in small groups and one on one to make sure that every question is answered. The admissions team supports the parents and students by enrolling children and families who are committed to the mission of Woodcrest School, and who will be active and positive members of our community.
Choosing the right school for your family is one of the most important decisions you will make. We encourage you to learn about our school, talk to supportive parents and set up a time to visit our campus.
Woodcrest School vs Public School
Public schools devote a great deal of time in the classroom and school resources to specifically teaching students how to take these exams. They often call this strategy of “teaching to the test.” This teaching method helps students develop memorization skills but hinders creativity and problem solving. At Woodcrest, our students develop a love for learning and the ability to problem solve in a way that dramatically enhances each student's long term success.
